Journalist and nonfiction writer Nikhil Eapen is working on a book about this devastating tragedy. A Scavenger’s Wake is the true story of the race to save South Asia’s vultures from extinction. Part whodunit, part investigative journalism, it follows a compelling cast of characters as they grapple with the mysterious deaths while racing against time to unmask the killer and prevent a bird they love from blinking out entirely.
He will read a chapter from his work-in-progress manuscript and discuss the vulture die-off and its consequences.
