Biography

Born in 1984 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Tsering Yangzom Lama is a Tibetan writer and activist. She moved to Canada at the age of twelve. She has a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University, where she was a TOM fellow, writing fellow, and teaching fellow. Her debut novel, We Measure the Earth with our Bodies, will be published in the United States by Bloomsbury and in Canada by McClelland & Stewart in 2022. She is also an environmentalist and human rights advocate, and is currently serving as a storytelling advisor for Greenpeace International.
