Tomasz Swoboda

Tomasz Swoboda is a French- and Polish-language essayist, translator, and professor at the University of Gdansk. He is the author of several books and articles on art and literature such as Raconter, un acte culturellement marqué (with Jean-Louis Tilleuil, Academia, 2023) and Processus créateur et voies négatives (with Lydie Parisse, Lettres Modernes Minard, 2024). He has also published Polish translations of numerous French authors, including Michel Leiris (Mowa słowa, PIW, 2018) and Marcel Proust (Sodoma i Gomora, Officyna, 2022; Uwięziona, Officyna, 2024). In 2022, he was the winner of the literature grant program Boy-Żeleński.
