Svea Vikander

Born in 1984, the Canadian journalist and producer Svea Vikander lives and works in Oslo. Her work has appeared in a number of periodicals, including The Rumpus, This Magazine, The CBC, The Toronto Star, and has been the subject of articles in both The San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times. Her writing draws on her extensive background as a psychotherapist and experience as an artist, exploring various themes, especially the question of intergenerational trauma notably in indigenous communities that have witnessed policies of forced assimilation during earlier periods of colonization. She writes primarily in English, Norwegian, and Northern Sámi.
