Biography

The poet, translator, and professor of Spanish language and literature Rafael-José Díaz was born in 1971 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. From 1993 to 1995, he managed the review Paradiso. He has published collections of poems, short stories, selections from his diary, and numerous translations into Spanish, in particular of the French-speaking Swiss poet Philippe Jaccottet. Three of his works have been brought out in French, Le crépitement (L’Escampette, 2007), Un suaire(L’Harmattan, 2021), and Demeurer suspendu (Cheyne, 2021).
