Biography

Polina Brukman was born in Zaporozhye, Ukraine, and emigrated to Israel in 1991. She is a literary translator, conference interpreter, and lecturer in the Department of Translation at Bar Ilan University. Among her translations into Hebrew are works by the contemporary postmodern Russian writer Vladimir Sorokin and the 2015 Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich.
