Biography

Nancy Campbell is a poet, essayist and publisher of artist’s books. A graduate of Oxford University (BA Eng. Lit.). Her work responds to cultural and climate change in Arctic environments. Her books include How To Say ‘I Love You’ In Greenlandic: An Arctic Alphabet which won the Birgit Skiöld Award (2013) and Disko Bay (shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, 2016). Her research has benefited from residencies at institutions in the USA, Greenland and Iceland. Nancy Campbell will devote her time as writer in residence to her translation of Songs from Ammassalik, Greenland.
