Biography

Dividing her time between France and Switzerland, Muriel Pic is a writer, researcher, filmmaker, and collagist, and has done a number of translations from the German. Her work explores the connections that take shape between thought and poetry, document and fiction, science and art, imagination and knowledge. This has yielded a body of work that combines poetry, documentary narratives, lyrical essays, and texts formed from archival materials. Her many publications include Les désordres de la bibiliothèque (Filigranes, 2010), Élégies documentaires (Macula, 2016), En regardant le sang des bêtes (Trente-trois morceaux, 2017), which was awarded a special mention for the Prix Wepler and nominated for the Prix Médicis essai, and finally L’argument du rêve (Héros-Limite, 2022), winner of the Prix de la poésie awarded by the Fondation Pierrette Micheloud.
