Biography

Melina Blostein was born in Argentina in 1990. She is a Spanish-language translator who works from French and English. After studying literary translation at the Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas J. R. Fernández in Buenos Aires, she earned a Master’s in translation and writing from Université Paris-Est Créteil. She has taken part in literary translation workshops in Argentina, France, and Colombia, as well as international forums on the French-speaking community and multilingualism in Canada, Belgium, and the United States. She has translated a number of writers, including Philippe Rahmy, Louis Althusser, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Gabrielle Roy. She is currently at work on a Spanish translation of the novel Prochain épisode by the French-Canadian author Hubert Aquin (Next Episode, 1967 and 2003).
