Biography

The essayist and writer Matteo Terzaghi was born in 1970 in Bellinzone. A graduate of the University of Geneva with a degree in literature and philosophy, he works part time as an advisor and editor at Edizioni Casagrande. He also one of the founders of Specimen, the online review devoted to literature and translation. His books include the essay Il merito del linguaggio (Casagrande, 2006) and the collection of thirty-six short prose pieces Ufficio proiezioni luminose (Quodlibet, 2013), which was singled out for the 2014 Swiss Literature Award. Working with several artists, he has also put together numerous exhibitions and several publications devoted to photography and the relationship between text and image.
