Biography

A graduate of the Institut littéraire suisse in 2018, the writer Marilou Rytz has published several short stories including “Quelle est la couleur du ciel aujourd’hui,” which was brought out by Éditions Buchet-Chastel and earned the author the 2021 Prix du jeune écrivain de langue française. She also holds a BA in social work and divides her time between helping troubled young people placed in juvenile services (Service de protection de la jeunesse), doing work for the stage (performing, writing, or working behind the scenes), cleaning delivery rooms, reading and rereading, and running writing workshops. She is a member of the group Particules, a Swiss-French literary collective, and her first novel Quand papa est tombé malade will be published by Hèbe in early 2024.
