Marco Damghani

The German-Iranian theater director Marco Damghani was born in 1992 in Hamburg, Germany. He is a graduate of the Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts Berlin, and the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney. His work blends satire, poetic language, and political inquiry. His debut novel Die Insel Sertralin (Jaron Verlag, 2024) and plays like Die Leiden des Jungen Azzlack and Anouk & Adofa explore identity, migration, and the complexities of belonging. His latest play, Die Allerletzten, had its premiere at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin in November 2025.
