Biography

Born in 1961 in Latakia, Syria, Lina Bader holds a degree in French literature and the humanities. After teaching French for many years, she turned to translation and has published Arabic versions of over twenty works of literature by renowned authors, including J.M.G Le Clézio, Jean-Christophe Rufin, Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Atiq Rahimi, and Andreï Makine. She has also published several short translated texts in Arabic literary magazines while working for an aid and development association.
