“As a girl, I had several lives. I lived aboard a sailboat, as an ex-pat in Budapest at the end of the Cold War, and on a dead farm in New Hampshire. This odd childhood left me prepared for three career paths: writer, pirate, or spy. Since I’m rather timid, I chose writer. My essays and stories have been published in several literary journals and anthologies. I am now attempting to complete my first book.» Kristen Cosby will devote her time as writer in residence to her project The Thirty-Nine-Foot World.
