Jacob Rogers

Born in 1994, Jacob Rogers is a translator of Galician and Spanish prose and poetry. He is based in New York City, where he also works as a bookseller. He has earned grants from the National Endowment of the Arts and the PEN/Heim Translation Fund, and has curated features of Galician literature for a variety of magazines. His book-length translations include The Last Days of Terranova by Manuel Rivas (Archipelago Books, 2022), The Dear Ones by Berta Dávila (3TimesRebel, 2023), and What Remains by Brais Lamela (Ballaun Press, 2025), with works slated for publication by Sublunary Editions, Archipelago Books, and World Poetry Books. In 2020 and 2022, he was awarded national grants from the Pen/Heim Translation Fund and the National Endowment of the Arts.
