Biography
Born in 1981 in El Salvador, Gabriela Trujillo has chosen to write in French. She earned a PhD in film studies from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and worked for over ten years at the Cinémathèque française before taking the helm of the Cinémathèque in Grenoble. She has published a novel, L’invention de Louvette (Gallimard, 2021), which tells the coming-of-age story of a young girl who is torn between two cultures against the backdrop of civil war. That same year, Éditions Capricci brought out her essay Marco Ferreri : le cinéma ne sert à rien.
