Biography
The Swiss writer and actor Fanny Wobmann lives and works in Neuchâtel. She studied theater before earning a Master’s in sociology, then went on to develop numerous theater, writing and performance projects as part of the collective AJAR, the Princesse Léopold Company, and ZAC. She has also pursued writing outside of these groups, publishing three novels that have led to numerous awards and grants, notably Nue dans un verre d’eau (Flammarion, 2017), which was singled out for the Prix Terra Nova awarded by the Fondation Schiller Suisse, shortlisted for the 2018 Prix RTS, and translated into German. Her latest book, Les arbres quand ils tombent, is published in 2024 (Quidam).
