Biography

Born in Laufen/Salzach in 1963, Eva Schestag lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. She studied classical and modern Chinese literature and philosophy, as well as English and American literature and linguistics at universities in Munich, Nanjing, Zurich and Taipei. Her translations include books by Luo Guanzhong, Cai Jun, Han Shan, Ai Weiwei, Can Xue, and Mark Arax. As a guest lecturer for translation studies, she has taught at the Institute of Comparative Literature at Goethe University.
