Biography

The stage director David Ferré is a graduate of Madrid’s famous drama school, the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD). He also works as publisher and translator. He founded the theater company Sans voies en 2000. His stage-direction work is built around multidisciplinary fields of writing and questions the many forms of contemporary theater. In 2008, he founded Actualités Éditions. Translating young Spanish-speaking authors writing for the stage is one of his main activities. He also conceived and edited a work by several hands, Théâtre espagnol : les écritures émergentes, which was published by Éditions de l’Amandier in 2010. He is part of the executive committee of PEN Club français, where he directs the Committee for Translation and Linguistic Diversity.
