Biography

Dan Richards was born in Wales in 1982 and grew up in Bristol. He has a BA in English Lit & Philosophy from The University of East Anglia & an MA from Norwich Arts School. He is co-author of Holloway with Robert Macfarlane & Stanley Donwood (Faber 2013), The Beechwood Airship interviews, a book about the art & creative process (HarperCollins 2015), and Climbing Days, an exploration of the writing & climbing lives of his great great aunt & uncle – Dorothy Pilley and I.A. Richards (Faber 2016). Dan Richards will devote his time as writer in residence to his project Outpost.
