Claire Thomas

Dr. Claire Thomas is an award-winning writer from Melbourne, Australia. Her second novel The Performance was published internationally in 2021, by Gallimard (French), Hanser (German), Alba Editorial (Spanish), Riverhead (USA), W&N (UK) and Hachette (ANZ). Her first novel, Fugitive Blue, was published in Australia and New Zealand in 2008 and republished in 2021. Claire Thomas holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, where she taught literary studies (with a focus on eco-literature and 19th-century literature) for many years.
