Biography
Charlotte Fauve is a landscape engineer, journalist, and writer. She designed and wrote the television series Étonnants jardins (2017) for the French-German cultural broadcaster Arte. In 2019, she published her first book, Botaniste (with Marc Jeanson, Grasset), a narrative that goes over three centuries of botanical expeditions that has been translated into six languages to date. In 2023, she was in residence at the Villa Albertine for a reportage project on Miami and its python hunters, the Florida city having become the world capital of invasive species. In the spring of 2025, she is publishing with the archeologist Claire Houmard Alaska, l’usure du monde (Seuil), a journal chronicling an emergency beachside excavation on the Bering Sea.
