Biography
Born in 1960 into a French-speaking family, Anne Bécart was raised in Zurich before moving to Geneva to study literature. She lives and works there today. A translator of literature, notably the work of Gerhard Meier, she runs writing workshops and teaches German and philosophy. She is the author of a children’s book and seven novels, published by Éditions Zoé, including Angle mort, which was awarded the Schiller Prize in 2002. She was also a Pro Helvetia grant winner in 2007. Her writing has been translated into Russian and Georgian.
